About

The Neutral Zone is the blog platform launched initially as part of Caucasus Edition: Journal of Conflict Transformation. The idea of The Neutral Zone has been developed during the Imagine dialogue program held in June, 2010 in Gudauri, Georgia. Its aim is to serve as a platform for alternative voices from Armenia and Azerbaijan on social and cultural issues with focus on tradition, culture, education, healthcare, society and sensitive topics such as domestic violence, rights of minorities and more.

Following Imagine Dialogue Retreat in July 2011, a decision was made to expand The Neutral Zone and make it more independent from the Caucasus Edition Journal. With these new changes, the blog now features fiction stories, Caucasus Fables, multimedia, and more.

We hope you enjoy reading this blog and we look forward to your comments and even contributions if you are interested in writing for The Neutral Zone.

If you are interested in learning more about Imagine Center and perhaps even applying to one of its dialogue retreats, please see the presentation below about the center, the methodology we use and an overview of idea/project results that came out as a result of these dialogue retreats.
